‘There is No War on Terror’, Says Top UK Prosecutor

He’s right in declaring that the “War on Terror” is fake just as the “War on Drugs” is. Since the “War on Drugs” was declared by Bush pere in the late 1980’s, the amount of drugs on the streets of the US has only increased evermore with drug use self-evidently increasing also and the US prison population has more than doubled. Then you take into consideration that the Mujahadeen in Afganistan in the 1980’s were clearly dealing in the most lethal street drug (heroin) and were the #1 dealers in this drug and that they were allies of the US and the US did know all this. Or that Noriega and Escobar were the biggest kingpins in the world of cocaine dealing in the 1980’s and the US did know this and that at least one of them was a CIA agent (Noriega). Or that the Taliban in Afganistan in the late 1990’s had cut heroin and opium exports by at least 75% and were NOT allies of the US and that ever since the invasion of that country by the US and it’s allies, the amount of opium and heroin exports has been at an all-time high. I could go on and on here, but I think the point is sufficiently made — the US allies itself with drug dealers while declaring a “War on Drugs” and then declares war upon those who try to curb the exports of drugs from their countries. This leads me into thinking that the US actually creates markets for drugs through their foreign policy and therefore is an accomplice (if not the actual kingpin) in this seedy world. When you stop and look at the big picture objectively, you can only arrive at one conclusion — whether consciously or not, declaring a “War on Drugs” actually worsens the problem.
Now for the “War on Terror”, you can make all of the same comparisions. The Mujahadeen (who became the Taliban) and Bin Laden were very close allies of the US (Bin Laden actually being an agent for the CIA), became their worst enemies. Or Fatah going from enemy (from it’s creation to the late 1980’s) to ally in the 1990’s and back to enemy from 9/11 to Arafat’s death and now back to ally. This is completely ridiculous!! Or that the Ayatollahs in Iran were enemies as soon as they came to power in 1979 but that the US almost immediately starting selling them arms in exchange of prisoners. And all this including Israel as a go-between (I would think that Iran is their worst nightmare) and the Contras in Nicaragua (dealing in cocaine while being allies of the US) being armed by the profits of those dealings with Iran and Israel. I’m actually going to stop here concerning the Iran-Contra affair because it’s too complex to put into this short text. I could also go on and on concerning the relation between terrorism and the US even more so than concerning drugs. But I think the point here is also sufficiently made — while declaring a “War on Terror” the US is actually complicite in it’s expansion. Therefore it begs the question — whether consciously or not, is the US creating it’s own enemies? I certainly believe so!!
So to wrap this up, the “War on Drugs” just as the “War on Terror” is fake — just as the spread of democracy is fake. The only thing that is real here is the spread of markets (black and white) for a minorty that represents 4% of the US population. I truly wish it was otherwise, but looking at the big picture objectively proves it. Only those with a blind faith in it’s government don’t see that picture.
Um, hello? Everyone with any sense has been saying this for oh, ah, let’s see, about six years? Really? This nightmare has been going on this long? Pinch me, please. The guy ahead of me is long-winded but s/he is right too. Its all a bunch of crap — for a reason. Even Osama is probably freaked out by now for what he has wrought.
Add to the above the war on crime, the war on poverty. What is it with this country? We don’t have problems to solve; we only have wars? Since war by its nature is a failure of humans to problem solve, isn’t the war on anything doomed from the outset? Certainly we haven’t succeeded in eradicating crime nor poverty and have simply made them worse by declaring “war.” How about investing in the
Kucinich proposed “Department of Peace.” How can peace be obtainable if we only invest in war?
