   Where is the outrage? Are we really so numb to these continued revelations? I hear the corporate media reporting on the Libby trial as if it’s just the latest gossip. And the public, unless it’s beaten over the head with something (like the latest missing child or celebrity scandal), just doesn’t seem to really give a damn. Some democracy.

   Thank you, I am standing for an ovation. Can you please send the entire text to each and every member of Congress?! Can this please be on every front page? As the above poster states, where IS the outrage?

   It’s hard to believe there are so many dumb people in one country. (And lacking in morals, principles, and values besides.) But what is one to expect from an ignorant mob? Just tell them they live in a ‘free country’ and they’ll believe it - they’re all suckers. And they’ll kill anyone who tells them any different. Cheney is the ultimate dictator, and he makes no bones about it - and nobody is going to stop him and his fellow henchmen from doing whatever they want. Congress and the Supreme Court are a joke - this is a fascist police state, and nobody has any rights. Period. If you don’t like it, move somewhere else. This is America - not Europe or Scandinavia. It’s never going to change. So get real and stop whining. This is what most Americans want - you don’t see them out in the streets rioting (except for a few delusional Lefties). What’s so outrageous? The whole idea of ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’ was always just an illusion - a fantasy. And as Bush said, the Constitution is just a damned piece of paper - not much protection against bullets and bombs. Get used to it - and get a life.

   An excellent article. I’ve been crying impeachment so long my vocal cords are shot. but here, right in the current news, is the item and background that should get the ball rolling.

   I will say what happened to the outrage. you can only rage so much, and then people don’t pay attention to you any more. Today’s New York Times had a guest editorial by a plaintiff in the anti-wiretap case that made a less impassioned but still compelling case for impeachment.

   Maybe the administration’s chickens are finally coming home to roost.

   Past time for the democrats to start investigating. Given the revelations in the Libby Trial; there is strong evidence to suggest President Bush and even stronger evidence to suggest that Vice President Cheney were in on the leak. No indictments were issued because the president cannot be indicted until she or he has left office.

   Congress must investigate what the president knew and when. This is essential and the judiciary committee should start now.

   So thoughtful of Mr. Scheer to point out the unfairness to poor little “pawn” Irving Libby at the hands of a mean old judicial system and an ungrateful boss. Why not save a touch of that compassion for some of the countless victims of these monsters instead of showing compassion for the one monster who got caught? Let me see…why would Mr. Scheer choose to subtly defend Mr. Libby??? what could the connection POSSIBLY be?

   Rarely, if ever, are political discussions really centered around “class” inequity in the United States. To extend the discussion to impeachment is a minor issue in the scope of trying to change America and the beltway. We live in a country that is truly for the rich, that one percent that has a death hold on our democracy and the self interests of multi-national corporation. Until, the working person in this country is willing to take back democracy in the streets, we are going to see more of the same. Maybe we are wittnessing the end of the great experiment called American Democracy.
