There is plenty going on at least in the House, and yet all I hear ( and I do not watch TV but listen to NPR) is blah blah blah on the 2008 race. I am ready to tear out my hair. There are critical things happening now and they want to talk about winners and losers in a contest nearly two years off. Shame on them, and shame on us for not protesting every chance we get!
Fantastic Article … IMHO the impact of TV superficiality, media consolidation and money politics are the truly fundamental problems facing Western democracies. The only reason they ignore the interests of the majority, wage unneeded wars, kidnap, torture and pander to the needs of the superwealthy is because democracy is very nearly broken…
Politics is just the sideshow it is portrayed as. The media is too cowed to tell us who really runs the show, and how they do it. What are you gonna do about America, just sit there?
