   Even if the US government could control events in Iraq, its agenda calls for continuing war, not an end to it. Americans should think about this “tail wagging the dog” phenomenon, and think twice about taking those lucrative military-industrial jobs. The world does not need Uncle Sam to be its policeman. But the world does need law and order. The main argument against this has been the idea that we can’t depend on the international community to practice good faith in implementing international law. Ths we witness right here in America the erosion of the foundation of law and order itself – that faith. Uncle Sam leads the world into the abyss of despair. Thankfully the world does not follow.

   The unmitigated gall and arrogance of the Bush Regime is poised to exceed even the horrors perpetrated by Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Murder, Torture, Rape Rooms, War Without Reason, Lies and more Lies, the Blood of our Children, the Blood of Their Children, a Planet watching in Horror at an America that has lost its mind, damned its soul — all for what? The Bush Legacy? America must wake up from this nightmare and demand and END and by all means begin impeachment proceedings yesterday. Bush too deserves the gallows. His evil will survive him, but the innocents he kills and maims, the families he destroys, the weeping and sorrow he perpetrates on this Planet cry out for justice and retribution. Wake up America! Time to wake up!!

   I never thought I’d see the day I’d be agreeing with the president of Syria, but he is right. But not only does Bush not have the
   vision to make peace, he definitely doesn’t have the will. As rtdrury says, the agenda calls for never-ending war. I just can’t believe these people are getting away with it, even after their lies and criminality have been exposed! What is wrong with our chicken-shit Congress — didn’t they get the message from the last election?

   I think that the only way for the USA to regain their credibility and respect around the world would be for Congress 1:to impeach both Cheney and Bush 2: to then have them arrested along with Rice, Powell, Tenet, Negroponte and the rest of the PNAC signatories and put in a windowless plane that would take this wonderful group to The Hague to be judged as War Criminals by the WCJ. Otherwise, I fear that they will launch another unwinnable war against a country that has not attacked them.
   I also think that all the presidential candidates that voted for giving President Bush these extensive powers in 2002-2003 should not be able to run for the presidency because they can be viewed as accomplices in that illegal war. The lame excuses such as I WAS MISLEAD like the I WAS ONLY FOLLOWING ORDER were not accepted by the judges at Nuremberg and should not be accepted now.

   WAR RESOLUTION
   Even though my understanding of this war is limited to available news sources and history, it is clear that our legislators erred when they granted this unlearned and arrogant administration the authority to embark on this misadventure. The weapons inspectors were there and we had contained Saddam. The resulting “civil war” and chaos had been predicted by many informed experts, and should have been obvious–but their advice was ignored.

   Things could have been even worse if Saddam really had a few biological or primitive nuclear weapons, and had unleashed them on our troops during th invasion. THis could have killed tens of thousands of our troops–not to mention the Iraqis. The administrations refusal to honor the advice of the recent advisory commission, which had recommended dialogue with the neighboring countries, is inconceivable.

   This administrations opposition to energy conservation and global warming measures only add to our worldwide disdain resulting from this war — this must be reversed now..

   The only rational option left is for congress to seize the war powers from the president–and then pursue a logical course based on the recommendations of the commissions and informed advisers.(there are several). This would include dialogue with the neighboring nations (including our adversaries), firm commitments to end this disastrous misadventure, curbing profiteering, promoting measures for energy conservation and global warming litigation — and avoiding a war with Iran — among other things.

   The alternative is to permit continuation of this reckless course — and possibly a war with Iran — which most experts believe could only add to the carnage.

   Mr Rtdrury evidently knows what the world needs.. the world does not need Uncle Sam to be the policemen but it needs law and order.. Who will quarantee law and order?? Who is that worthy one..? Every one knows exactly what to do but prefers to remain with clean hands..??
