   This part of Putin’s speech was left out of the BBC article (the one reprinted at CommonDreams) but was included in the video that was linked at the same page. The words, said first on the Putin video, are important:

   A madman in the White House, a quagmire in Iraq, escalation of war to include Iran, global warming, the Orwellian “Real ID Act”, and now the spectre of a new cold war. Did I miss anything?

In fascist culture we note that war and fear are very important, as they are now in our culture from power perspectives.

   In Florida, we went to the beach ysesterday with lots of other people in a traffic jam. It was a nice day and many power boats were zipping and chugging about, going nowhere.

   I thought about what it would be like if suddenly the oil stopped flowing. Days after September 11th, it was strange to not see any aircraft in the skies. I guess it will be like that regarding motor vehicles and those power boats. But our dependence or cars will make things a thousand times worse.

   Bush is close to attacking Iran. The world responded with offers to help us after 9/11 and Katrina. I hope they are still sympathetic and will try to help us afterwards, considering that we are victims of our oligarchy.

   They need to “help us” now by threatening an economic embargo or the US if we do not cease and desist from military aggression, withdraw from Iraq, and send Bush, Cheney and the neocon junta to the Hague to face a war crimes tribunals.

   And Republican Senator John McCain added: “Moscow must understand that it cannot enjoy a genuine partnership with the West so long as its actions at home and abroad conflict fundamentally with the core values of the Euro-Atlantic democracies. In today’s multi-polar world there is no place for needless confrontation.”

   McCain, Lieberman and the likes of these Americans are all the same; they see only the USA as the centre of the universe. To these self righteous and self centered Americans, it is only the Russians who go out of their way to seek friendship with the Americans; like friendship with the USA is in itself the greatest reward for the Russians. More like fans of celebrity getting the ultimate high just for a mere handshake from their idol. You Americans do think like that don’t you ? Ever thought that the Russians are merely telling the truth like it is; and that the Americans are the most predatory and most disruptive evil force on this planet ?

   To McCain and Lieberman, get it into your head that Russia does not go out of their way to court American endorsement nor friendship. Putin is merely sayng what most of the world is saying, that the USA is renegade and is behaving like a bull in a china shop.

   The perceptions of the world community is now more like what is in truth reality; that the USA wants to dominate the world for their own selfish reasons, and that we should all resist the iron fist of the USA. It is just as well that in spite of the immense weapons of the USA, the Americans are in reality bloody useless and they have never ever won any fight that they picked in Asia.

   However, I want to make a very obvious observation from the above McCain statement. He said that if Russia wants to draw close to the USA & the west then Russia must conform to the values of the Euro-Atlantic grouping. We Asians see this remark as meaning that the USA has already divided the world into “Euro-Atlantic” against the rest. We also see in very stark relief that the USA still sees the world as THE WHITEMAN AGAINST THE REST OF THE COLOUREDS IN THE WORLD.

    BushCo realists don’t see things in humanistic terms. They see it as a competition for oil among nations. They keep pouring our dwindling resources into the military because it is the only thing we have left that’s better than any other country’s. Our trump card, our big stick, so to speak.

    According to Kevin Phillips in “American Theocracy”, BushCo made a deal with the House of Saud years ago: The U.S. Dollar would continue to be the oil currency and the Saudis would turn it around and buy weapons from us with it. BushCo’s personal racial preferences take a back seat to their ideas about maintaining imperial supremacy by any bloody means.

    One might think, if we bought the oil on the open market instead, or use alternative energy it would be a lot cheaper in the long run than the cost of oil wars. But since control of oil is and has been a cause for most developed countries to invade others, and since BushCo are all corporate oilmen and oilwomen, they will compete using all means available, like our military.

    A corporate government’s CEO has the same unique mandate as any other corporation’s; to maximize profits for their stockholders any way they can, or they get canned. So as long as we keep buying oil, SUV’s and M/I/I stock, we will keep BushCo’s Halliburtons in fiddles while we burn.

    Competition makes capitalism work. But big business eats small business, killing competition dependent capitalism. When capitalism then turns into fascism, we get monopoly, oligopolies, monocultures and the unnatural uniformity that kills the diversity that keeps us safe and thriving.
