   Kudos to Al Gore and the others who worked on this documentary.

   Gore seems to have found his true voice. If only he had been as passionate when he ran for prez. If only he hadn’t changed persona with every state he visited. If only he hadn’t listened to all those political “handlers” who told him not to be himself. If only…

   Well, coulda, woulda, shoulda aside…this film deserves an award. The only unfortunate thing is that this film needed to be made at all.

   Will global warming trump all other issues? Time will tell.

   Steve Gorman is wrong when he writes Al Gore narrowly lost his bid for president. Not so, Al Gore won both the electoral vote and the popular vote. The election was taken from him by the Supreme Court.
   Perhaps this victory will make him ( and us) rethink running again.

   I don’t see the big deal about his movie. I agree that Global Warming is a huge issue, but his proposals will barely make a dent. The fact is that car use needs to be drastically reduced. There’s a good book on this (forgot the name)but I think that before 1920, cars and public transportation were run on batteries until GM bought out such transportation and prevented such use.

   Car manufactures and more importantly, oil companies would never allow cars to run on anything but oil. Until we prevent business profits from determining our governmental policies and endeavors, we will only see Gore’s warnings transpire and I’m sure he will be hailed for his work, which is really not important because it only informed much of the public. What the public perceives and even wants is not politically significant. The scientists already know and only profit is in the mind of everyone else.

   One can only imagine how much better off the world would be if the five supreme court justices had not placed politics ahead of principle by planting this irresponsible and inept person in office, after the voters had chosen Al Gore. Blame must be shared by the legislators for allowing such horrific policies, and our populace for tolerating these outrages.

   The damage caused by this administration’s environmental sellouts and reckless war, which they have perpetuated with misinformation & character assassination is unmeasureable.

   Its time to take back our country–Al Gore for President

   NOTE: Contrary to your statement, Al Gore actually won the presdency in Fla as well as the nation. This has been documented several times. The ~500 vote margin for Bush reported by the NY times was taken out of context– it reported that the degree of manipulation in favor of Bush was overwelming and precluded any 500 voting differential. Other re-counts have registered more votes for Gore.

   If I only couldbelieve this were true, but did Clinton/Gore really distinguish themselves in office?

   Gore needs to eat his words. Check out his consumption. He owns a mansion and the amount of electricity he consumes could heat 100 homes or more. When it comes to politican’s touting their horn, I can’t help but wonder what they are up to.
