   Short answer: can you see now why it is important — imperative to strengthen the Green Party now?

   No matter where you are in terms of current affiliation, no matter how you vote or voted for president, anyone who understands the real danger we are in, who knows we must end our rape of Iraq and our Constitution, who understands that Impeachment is practically the only useful thing ON the table, we need to encourage and grow a political alternative that is ON YOUR SIDE. One that actually says out loud what is in your heart and mind. Making the Green loudspeaker louder amplifies YOUR voice. Dig in and GIVE to build political PARTY pressure (not just NGO and advocacy group) in this country to STOP this Markey, Murtha, Obama, Clinton NO-Step dance which entrances, enables, and eviscerates any attempts at organizing a real Resistance.

   There is nothing happening now that was not predictable years ago. What? Was the Project for a New American Century not trying to get Clinton to buy into an Iraq invasion? Do you believe none of the Dem leadership was aware of the moves Rumsfeld, Cheney, Norquist, Rove, the Bushes had in mind? did they not recognized the orchestrated coup in 2000 with the help of Jeb and 5 folks on the Supreme Court?? Did they not notice the Enron connection to the 2000 election to the blackouts in California, to Dick Cheney’s war-based “Energy Policy”??? Did NAFTA and media concentration just “slip by” during Clinton’s years when no one was looking?? Did any Dem effort as a Party warn us about any of this?????

   The Green Party has called for impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors since 2003. It was all visible back then. You MAKE viability with actions, not just talk about it’ but you DO have to talk about it if you want to change the national narrative.

   Better start building an alternative that makes sense and that you can believe in while we still have the right to “vote” (the Dems haven’t even defend that)! How much denial are you willing to swallow as our nation as we know it goes up in flames, as criminal acts are practiced daily with our nation’s blood and treasure in broad daylight and elected officials don’t even denounce it, much less stop it. They couldn’t even muster a slap on the wrist for eavesdropping on Americans. What is it exactly you have expectations for Dems to do??

   I tell you this. For the 10-20 lousy minutes you spend casting your vote every four years for the “lesser of two evils” (and there may be justification for that), there is NO justification at all to waste all of the other minutes of the intervening 4 years trying to change the Democratic Party which is really trying to change and channel YOU. Time to stop trying to coddle, beg and appeal to a sold-out party leadership that is not listening, and wants you to just go away.

   Social justice, ending the war, impeachment, universal health care, ecological wisdom, women’s rights, fair trade, restoration of labor rights, a rebirth of democratic participation and election reform. If they can’t pronounce the words, they can never take us there.

   Register Green, build Green, think Green, work Green. Change the political landscape of this nation. You can only do it by moving FORWARD with a vision.

   A Green registration says you want this war and the corporate infested government that spawned it to be brought to a close, and a new era of responsible representation taking care of one another, taking care of the planet, and respecting diversity to guide our way to new heights of civilization.

   Yeah, yeah, I understand that some feel the need still to participate in Dem primaries. Well register Green, then change back for the few weeks before and after the election.

   The antiwar movement was right years ago about where this government was taking us. Why not join up with the party OF that movement, and make it the new loudest voice around.

   It’s ok, USE the Dems that are in Congress to get whatever we can get out of them and putting their feet and souls to the fire. We have to work with whatever tools we have. Some may actually move a bit, but the chances for movement are far greater with outside pressure than from within. THERE has been NO PROOF to the contrary for decades. They EAT their own, they don’t listen to them.

   Be pragmatic as well as idealistic. Use the political tools you have. The FEC recognized Greens is one of them, has a great platform and is ready to take off with your help and input. Vote as you see fit, but remember, it takes a looong time to build alternative organizations, so best get moving now.

   Are you ready to see something happen? Is time running out?

   If 50,000 Dems were to switch their registration to Green tomorrow, there would be a “No to escalation” vote in Congress next week, and impeachment would be back on the table the following week.

   Time for America to mature politically. We’ve been hog-tied by the phony 2-party myth all too long.
