   For all these long years of Bush I have had only one consolation, and that is that Joe Lieberman is not VP. The thought of him being a coronary away from the Presidency should terrify anyone with at least a functioning brain stem.

   That being said, I hope Gore gives it another shot. He’s vastly preferable to the current gaggle of Republican lites, warmongers and shitheads planning to run.

   Not that he would be my first choice, but Kucinich doesn’t have a frog’s chance in snowball hell (whatever that means).

   Al Gore is the only man in the world who can bring this country back together and get our friend’s back the minute he is elected. There is no other choice but Al Gore. I hope and pray that he run’s and win’s by a landslide.

   One can only imagine how much better off the world would be if the five supreme court justices had not placed politics ahead of principle by planting this irresponsible and inept person in office, after the voters had chosen Al Gore. The damage caused by this administration’s environmental sellouts and reckless war, which they have perpetuated with misinformation & character assassination is unmeasureable.

   Its time to take back our country Al Gore for President

   Without question, the b.s. the country is being dragged through now and the b.s. that we’ll deal with for years to come, wouldn’t even exist if the country got the leader it elected in the first place!

   Listen Al, sorry, you got no choice, the country needs you.

   Sorry, but I have to laugh at the Gore thing. Its so hilarious… Here’s a man people are saying he’s gonna save the planet, while (like the coward Kerry) didn’t have the nads to stand up for himself. What a spineless piece of you know what.

   As I recall Gore gave a pretty good fight before acquiescing in 00. Maybe you have altitude sickness.

   “Inconvenient Truth” has scored him points big time. By 08 republicans will be so radioactive nobody will touch them.

   Would he win? Does the pope wear white while watching the tree fall in the forest without a sound while the bear shits in the woods throwing snowballs at the frog’s chance?

    In this empire, “elder statesman” translates into someone with blood on his hands.

    Until Al Gore takes responsibility for the cruelty the Clinton-Gore administration visited on the people of Iraq, Colombia, Serbia, and Kosovo, it is impossible to take him seriously as a voice for a moral foreign policy.

    Until he takes responsibility for the destruction of our National Forests during the Clinton-Gore administration, and the environmental devastation accelerated by NAFTA, it is impossible to take him seriously as a voice for ecological responsibility.

    And until he takes responsibility for the fact that his own fortune comes from an oil company with a horrendous human rights record and a role in rainforest destruction — Occidental Petroleum — I can’t see him as anything but a hypocrite.

    Mike Gravel is the one true statesman in this race — he is someone who put himself on the line to tell truly inconvenient truths about the Vietnam War before it was publicly acceptable to do so. Dennis Kucinich deserves honorable mention in that regard. Hell, I’ll even give John Edwards an ounce of credit for appologizing for his vote on the Iraq war. (Note also that Al Gore never apologized for support for the first Gulf War, a war in which water and sewage treatment plants were deliberately targeted, a war crime even this President avoided.)

    If you want respect, Al, take responsibility for your past.
