   “The Bush administration cleared the way for these personnel changes by slipping a little-noticed provision into the Patriot Act last year that allows the president to appoint interim U.S. attorneys for an indefinite period without Senate confirmation.”

   Dear Comrades: The Bush administration has cleared their way from many Constitutional, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence interferences. One cannot become a dictator if they are burdened with following the laws of the land.

   Those who haven’t bothered to study history or those who are still in diapers wouldn’t understand the intimate relationship that Hitler’s “Night and Fog” program has with our Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act.

   If Thomas Jefferson were around today, he surely would have at least demanded the impeachment of this president if not a demand to hang him for tyranny. It is an outrage that this president has totally ignored the laws that this country was founded upon.

   Over the next two years, we will find out which players from each party have abandoned their constituents and sold out to the ruling elite who are intent on destroying Constitutional liberties and in favor of promoting profits over people.

   It’s time to awaken from your coma and realize that the major problem we face in this country is between liberty and tyranny, and not between Rebulicans and Democrats.

   What other time bombs are buried in these acts?

   When are the American tax payers going to realize that all of this is geared towards robbing us blind.

   How? not only by protecting administration cronies from oversight (as they help themselves to sweetheart no-bid contracts for the all new mostly subcontracted military industrial machine), but also by helping (?) to plane-loads of billions in cash of US taxpayer dollars, unprecedented contracts for the wholesale grab of Iraqi oil, revolving door politics-to-corporations-to-politics again careers.

   Let us not forget about the effort to sneak hackable, unverifiable, untested voting machines past the American public.

   Make no mistake, our democracy is under attack.

   Just when you think it can’t get any worse, Bushco pulls another shocker like this “little-noticed provision.” I guess that’s what a “unitary executive” means: controlling all branches of government, silencing dissent, and rewarding cronies. It’s not a matter of when will the American people wake up, but what can we do about it before we are all “rendered” to a “little-noticed” concentration camp in an undisclosed Eastern European country.
   I no longer wonder how and why the Germans allowed Hitler and the Nazis to undermine their laws and constitution during the 30s. It’s all right here.

   Never before have Americans experienced such dangerous manipulation of essential scientific data, as used by this administration to derail vital environmental reforms, conservation, family planning– and the list goes on. The resulting long term environmental and social damage are beyond measure, and can only worsen if not curtailed.

   Now they are using their judicial selections and replacements of responsible jurists with unqualified and/or unsuitable party loyalists to perpetuate their policies that are guided by greed and theocracy.

   The gravity of these unprecedented betrayals eclipses the Monica Lewinski scandal which led to an impeachment, and pose greater dangers than Watergate which terminated a presidency. Blame falls mainly on the five Supreme Court Justices who betrayed their trust by planting Bush in office–over ruling the voters choice; our legislators for allowing these reckless and arrogant policies (albeit under intimidation); and the populace for tolerating these outrages.

   Its time to take back our country.

   Where are the Democrats? Why has no one started impeachment proceedings against Alberto Gonzalez and Alice Fisher. They have to be the very first to be impeached and then we should do F-You Cheney and then, Baby Bush. There is no other way to go if we want to save our freedom!! Lwayno, disabled vet

   Hmmmm…. What Constitution? Wake up folks. It HAS BEEN GONE since the first Patriot Act. I defer to much wiser men than I who wrote the Declaration of Independence… When the government no longer reflects the will of the people it is time to rid ourselves of the government. Anything less than removing them all is a waste of time.
