   Thanks for bringing this topic into the light. Unfortunately this will become the norm fairly quickly if we are not diligent as this is exactly what the Neocon/Republicans want…everything to be privatized. Of course, the sheeple will go along with it because they’ve been brainwashed into believing that Governement is the bad guy. Am not sure what it will take to wake up the masses but maybe if a bunch of them are manhandled by these rentacops they will realize that government employees aren’t so bad after all.

   How is Iraq ever to govern itself when private security firms undermine our rights in the USA?
   For the most part background checks on the offenders were not performed properly. I find this amazing. The department stores can do appropiate backgrounds on their $3.00 employees.
   It all boils down to this. The government outsources to save money, private companies cut corners to save money and no one is better off.
   Maybe a lot of the money should quit going to the upper realms of society. Maybe people should just get paid a decant salary with benefits and such and they just may be motivated to do the job correctly.
   The quality of people they want for what they are paying is a pipedream.

   Well let me tell you, and anyone who is gulible enough to buy into this misinformation and total bull… Most Company Police Agencys are not just security officers with police uniforms at all. They are in fact graduates of either police academys or BLET programs of the Justice Acadamy and regulated by the same department of training and standards as the other “real police”. They undergo the same legal training, weapons training as well as GS 15-401 D which in North Carolina is the Use of Force Continum that all law enforcement personel are required to follow and attend a manditory recertification class at least once a year for any updates and overall refreshers. Furthermore, they are required to follow every letter of the law in relation to civil rights violations, and every facet of search, seisure, detantion, questioning, vehical and personal stops, questioning, frisks, etc. Many of these private police guys are former “real Police offers” or current officers working second jobs to supliment their incomes, while retaining police status within their jurisdictions. Company police also have strict bounderies as to jurisdiction of powers, in that their powers end at the property line of the employer or the employer’s private property unless an active pursuit ensues begining on the clients property. These, and many other strick guidelines prohibit the officers from almost all of the fabricated accusations that you seem to have dreamed up in your artical. However entertaining, and no doubt arousing to the average individual who constantly thinks his or her civil rights are always being trounced on by someone in uniform, or an officer stopping them when they are in violation of something they feel they should be excempt from. The fact is, these guys are just as well trained and sometimes moreso, depending on the willingness of the individual officer, as any other law enforcement officer. The difference is, they are are not costing the tax payer’s anything for the same service and backup to existing LE. They are not costing taxpayer dollars for they’re pensions, medical care, or the host of other benifits of “real police”. One more thing worth mentioning is, company police must have 2 million dollar insurance policies to cover any BS civil liabilites as well. SOmething else that isn’t costing the taxpayers.
   The officers undergo the same uncomprimising background investigation as all other law enforcement personel in the state. They have to have the same clean background and lack of criminal records, clean driving records, no drug use, domestic violence, everything that will keep a “real police” officer from being accepted or hired, applies to company police as well.
   So, let’s dispense with the idiotic compaisons with private security and the problems with an undisaplined, and irrational people in a defeated country. Such pinhead statements should be left on the steps of Berkly. …the steps to the restrooms that is. As for the quality of officers having to do with the pay scale. Nonsense. Police officers don’t do the job for the money. SOmething you probuly don’t understand. They are out there for a sense of duty to the comunity. Company police… a bit of both. They do work for the money, but usually there’s several factors that move them to company police or to work in both “real police” and company police.
   So, how about doing a little more reserch into these matters before going off on a leftist anti private police ranting geared to creating more problems for guys working from misinformed citizens. Like the knothead talking about Iraq. That person is a good example of my point.

   These facts may not be true for all states, but in North Carolina it’s easy to check out by looking up, company police training and standard, at the NCDOJ websight.
   Something that should have been done before writing that BS artical.

   Just read the comment by the libral pinhead (lover of peace)… thinking that the goverment should control everything. It might enlighten him to know that most of those “real police’ officers are in fact very conservative. Now, do you really think that private cops are more apt to “manhandle” someone than any other officer. I suppose you’ve been manhandled by a police officer right… Probubly not, but you think it’s the norm like most of you so called do gooders. The fact is, most of the people who have been “man handled” were and are criminals to begine with, and in advance have a distain for any police officer or authority over their unlawful behavior. Thus causing them to RESIST arrest or become combative during any degree of questioning by an officer. They are usually being questioned, because of what ever questionalble activity or behavior they are engaged in to cause th officer to detain them. So, the next time you think someone is breaking into your garage, or helping themeselves to your car stereo and resist the officer, or you when you try and stop him…remember the manhandled thing. Oh, and how about we have the government take over all the legal representation to while we’re at it. I’m sure that will be something you’d like to trust your life and security to. Esspecially sense you’d like the govenment to opperate the police, they’d all be on the same team. Wouldn’t that be fun. A bunch of socialist in a govt. run country…You know…like the other comunist countries. Oh, and if you’re such a lover of peace, have you ever noticed how the countries that have what you’d like to have here, don’t seem to have pease. Say hello to Mr. Il you know Kim Jong.
