   It’s no surprise to see who Bush selects for anythiing as he seems intent on destroying everything that oversees the good of the American public, the environment, Veterans, Seniors, Children, health coverage, FDA regulations, etc. Our government will need several Presidents to overhaul the mess Bush has put us in and it’s questionable if we ever get back all of our former progress. And what are Democrats doing about his illegal activities? Seeking their own election and slinging mud.

   Unfortunately, it goes way beyond the political appointments at the top.

   As an emplotee in a regulatory agency, I can attest that most regulatory employees these days - especially in supervisory positions are fairly hard-right in their politics and regard themselves as supporters of the regulated industry rather than supporters of the public or workers impacted by thise industries. Industry trade group awards, bumper-stickers with pro-industry slogans, and often, autographed pictures of Bush (a reward for a campaign contribution), cover their office walls. It always seemed like flagrant conflict of interest to me, but no one brings the issue up.

   This is probably true from the EPA, to OSHA and MSHA, to the NLRB, to CPSC, and all the others, especially, the state regualtory agencies.

   This has been a slow and steady process that has continued under all administrations since the Reagan days.

Make them know that they have to answer to us, and keep bugging them until THEY do something!! For each minute they have to desl with us, that’s one minute they are not spending time with the lobbyists!!!
