   The article is interesting, but the author’s, ‘oh-my-god; falling-sky’, writing-style, seems excessive to me. Readers seeking basis/substance, not-emotion/direction/manipulation, might-be dissuaded by seeming-bias; possibly thrust at a pre-positioned set of readers. fc

   The only spectre I see here is the past. One major problem is inherent to “free economies”, i.e. capitolist. Corporations and their lackeys, (both political “leaders” and corporate execs), are profit driven. The bottom line is their god. When you couple that with whores in the government, it usually spells disaster for us, the common folk. This is true in all areas, not just food. True care and oversite,(with SEVERE penalties with no statutes of limitations, for tampering with facts must be in place so these swine PAY for manufacturing facts to suit there bank accounts. Umm, sorta like the Bush crime family’s Iraq/Iran tricks.

   The real worry is not the past,free economies or bottom line accountancy as we slide towards our possible/probable impending demise…but the fact that companies like Ventria Bioscience have fingers in a lot of genetically modified pies ..(like Nestlé….and we all know what they did for South African mothers and babies) and the prospect of watching them grow fat on the deaths of innocent people..sickens me.

   Back in the 70s Henry Kissinger asked the CIA to research ways of killing off “non whites”.

   By feeding the third world GM rice..we may be closer to his vision than we would like to think.

   My ancestors died because of the gifts of blankets that were purposely infected with smallpox. It was seen as the generous whites doing something for the Native Americans.

   Moral of the story..if someone offers you a gift horse..open its mouth and take a good look at its teeth!!

   ps parents, teachers and students …please fight for your school to ban snack machines with any product from Nestlé,Coca Cola and any company that produces foods with aspartem. They kill you! Slowly, but just as dangerous as Heroin.

   Replace them with healthy snacks from equitable trade companies..its only by cutting these murdering companies huge profits that they will realise that we are wise to them.

   Diarrhea, even severe varieties, can be prevented and/or solved various ways. If it’s being caused by contaminated water, well, provide clean water! Why they use a genetically-modified food to solve what may be a water-contamination problem is idiotic, except that, once again the “solution” is costly, benefits an extreme minority at the expense of a majority, and doesn’t solve the source of the illness.
