   To show just how DELUDED this administration is, (not that it really need be proved), anyway, these are simultaneous headlines from the past week of March 5, 2007. “Pace (Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff) : U.S. Military capability eroding!”—”2 Suicide bombers kill 93, 9 U.S. Soldiers killed in one day in Iraq”—”Bombers Massacre Iraq Shiite Pilgrims”—AND THE CLINCHER, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS??—- “Bush: U.S./Iraqi forces making progress.” WOW!! If this is progress, George, then what is failure? The time has come for we the people to wake up and take back our democracy, freedom, and respect for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

   Hooray for Vermont. Now if only other states would follow suit. Maybe that way the media will finally stop ignoring the issue.

   God save us if Vermont is the only state with eyes and backbone. If the decider gets away with this future potential despots will believe that nothing is impossible for them–and they may be right.

   Congratulations, Vermont!!!

   This is Citizen Action right from the grassroots.

   The framers of the Constitution anticipated the possibility that a situation could arise where impeachment investigations were necessary and Congress might be reluctant (or afraid) to act, so they wrote up the required steps that citizens would need to take to begin getting the ball rolling. I think the official call for investigations can come either from a state legislature or even simply from a group of citizens. So it isn’t a matter of getting a majority of states on board. This is enough to make the investigations official.

   The actual vote comes later within the two houses of Congress, but only after the investigations. (which I believe must be public, not handled like the 911 phony investigation was).

   A lot of wisdom went into writing that document over 200 years ago!

   Actually, Washington has already voted to impeach Bush. Maybe the states that are disgusted with Bush and (the real president) the Big Dick can go into secession from the Union. That leaves George and Dick having no peasantry at all to voluteer for their Halliburton or Oil profits anymore.

   Then maybe we can establish a draft on the Bush and Cheney families to let them know first hand how it feels to Stay the (Bleeping!) Course. How about your SACRIFICE for a change?!

   As one of the Vermonters who has been supporting impeachment and UN supervised war crimes trials for some time now, I feel compelled to comment on the obstruction of this process by so-called progressives and Democratic party members who appear to be concerned with their own future electability then doing the (morally, ethically, and legally) ‘right’ thing. In my town we had what amounted to a covert town meeting, virtually unannounced, and a day earlier then the statewide norm of the first Tuesday in March. Fully half of the town had no knowledge of this meeting, or got it by word of mouth late in the afternoon Monday. Some of the local Dems were there actively trying to discourage people from voting on the impeachment referendum, and it looked like the most vociferous activists from the remnants of a 60’s commune on the edge of town were intentionally not notified of the meeting to further sway the balance of the vote. Don’t count on the Democratic party for anything. They are as throughly corrupt as the Republicans, and just can’t wait until their chance to slop at the K Street trough. This country needs a massive paradigm change that doesn’t stop with imported oil, but continues on to basic quality of life and human rights issues for everyone on the planet. The Left has to learn, in the words of Mao Tse Tung; “All Revolution proceeds from the barrel of a gun”. This is not an advocacy of violence, but rather a recognition that you will not prevent your disenfranhcisement or victimization by stuffing flowers into the weapons of people who are prepared and willing to use them on you. Bush, Cheney, and the forces they represent are willing to lie, murder, steal, and subvert the law to achieve their own ends. We can only deal with that by adopting the mindset of the Shaolin monks of classical China- being fully prepared to physically confront and defeat those who would commit violence against us, without being the originators of violence, ourselves.

   And N.B. to Nancy Pelosi:
   Impeachment is Definitely On The Table!

   AGREED:
   The President and Vice President have failed to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution” in the following ways:

   1. They have manipulated intelligence and misled the country to justify an immoral, unjust, and unnecessary preemptive war in Iraq.

   2. They have directed the government to engage in domestic spying without warrants, in direct contravention of U.S. law.

   3. They have conspired to commit the torture of prisoners, in violation of the Federal Torture Act and the Geneva Convention.

   4. They have ordered the indefinite detention without legal counsel, without charges and without the opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention — all in violation of U.S. law and the Bill of Rights.

   When strong evidence exists of the most serious crimes, we must use impeachment — or lose the ability of the legislative branch to compel the executive branch to obey the law.

   George Bush has led our country to a constitutional crisis, and it is our responsibility to remove him from office.

   AND

   George Bush and Cheney ignore the desire of the people of this Democratic society for immediate withdrawal of all troops, refusing to admit their plan to build empire without the consent of the governed.

   Here Here!!! and who the hell does Pelosi think she is stating that impeachment is not on the table? Them’s fightin words, Nancy, since we the people will be the ones to decide whether or not we can stomach another 22 months of these thugs in power!!!!

    Congrats to Vermont, I submitted an impeachment resolution to our Dem.Central Comm. and it passed and is being sent on to the State Dem Party. I must say some of our Dems act like Repubs. I can’t believe the leadership acts like they have NO cajones
