   I have said from the time these two yahoos took office, “Please let nothing happen to George Bush.” The thought of Dick Cheney as President is terrifying.

   Remember this is the administration that was going to bring honor and integrity back to the White House. It seems that and the solution to Iraq will be left to some future President.

   To John Nichols, I say, “Yessssss!” To Congress, “Get to it, as quickly as you can.” Why can’t these hearings be Impeachment hearings? Even if they weren’t successful, they would impede the destructive work of this crew.

   I still want to know if Cheney and Bush can be impeached at the same time. We don’t want Bush appointing a new V.P. I’d rather Speaker Pelosi just step right up. It would seem like overkill, but the political hatchet job by Atty. Gen. Alberto Gonzales of the “Gonzales Eight”, other interference with the judicial process, the overriding of constitutional protections, contravening the Geneva Conventions, etc. seems to suggest that he is in need of impeachment as well. Fitzgerald has laid the foundation for the next case.

   Here is a truly frightening thought. Cheney is removed from office, by resignation, or by impeachment. Whichever. Much as Gerald Ford was appointed to replace Agnew, GWB will propose a replacement for Cheney. Wait for it … Condoleezza Rice. This notion was raised in passing during Countdown with Keith Olbermann today. It made my blood run cold. This heartless and brutal woman would be positioned perfectly to be the Republican candidate for president in 2008. A black woman, but one with every Republican credential (unless it turns out she’s a lesbian, or that she and W have been carrying on a long-term affair, which is my personal belief).

   What’s happened.

   bush&co. got four things done and are looking to get the fifth.

   bush&co ordered the documents to be forged. Who else? Why? Who gains?

   Only one entity gains - the ones looking to go to war.

   One of the most overlooked aspects of this affair is who ordered the documents to be forged? Follow that chain and watch where it goes.

   But no one’s even asking.

   Next, bush&co got to use the false information when needed and has yet to suffer any penalty for lying us into a war.

   Third & forth, Brewster - Jennings, Plame are put out of play so they’re not around to debunk any future Iran intelligence distortions, plus a shot is fired across the bow of the press - leaving fifth - Iran.

   We stop the fifth, which is imperative, we go back to the first, who ordered the forged documents?

   However, if we attack Iran, all bets are off. The chaos that will ensue will eclipse everything.

   There’s probably no legal precedent, but Congress should offer Libby a full pardon in exchange for full and HONEST testimony on the events leading up to Plame’s outing.

   “Suspicions” about this administration being lawless? Hell, even Dick Tracy would have become convinced of this during the first bush administration.

   Actually Dick tracy was never portayed as being that bad a detective. I think Maxwell Smart would be a more appropriate comparison. (grin)
