   Given past experience, every statement made by the government, or by the “intelligence” or “security” organisations should be assumed to be lies.

   Why anyone even bothers to give consideration to such statements is beyond me.

   Taking them seriously just encourages them!

   Heck, a little more torture and he’ll admit to killing Arch Duke Ferdinand in Serbia! The neocons in their desperation for some kind of victory have hauled out this tortured guy to confess to everything and anything. It’s pitiful .

   Sort of blows out of the water the argument that these travesties of justice “tribunals” must be kept ultra-secret for national security reasons but it leaves you wondering how many hours of sleep or glasses of water or maybe some non-emetic food or a few degrees warmer or cooler or how long he was un-hung from the ceiling each time he added another “confession.” Or was it some of those injections?

   One other problem with a stupid president is that he is incapable of estimating the intelligence of the vast majority of American people not to mention the rest of mankind. Herewith a shining example.

   The guy was on a roll. His confessions seemed to be “very convenient”. He should have noted that his daddy pulled the trigger on Kennedy in 1963. He claimed responsibility or serious involvement with every known or suspected terrorist act of major import during the past decade. You’d almost suspect that he was a shill - or offered a serious plea bargain - to confess to so much criminal activity. Obviously his appearance on Oprah or any other talk show would be a major news event.

   Just shows you that anyone will say whatever you want to hear if you are tortured. Perhaps we could get the truth out of bush/cheney/rumsfeld (no caps due to disrespect) by torture. Why not give it a try?

   Single Source Story
   Source is openly and clearly a party in interest
   Source has long history of lies and manipulation
   Story contradicts previous information
   Story makes source look important
   Story would be damaging to source if found to be unsupportable
   Source has made corroboration impossible

   Source is running all over country as lead story and above the fold 1A.

   Every single journalist involved just flunked Reporting 101.

   Even if what he is saying is all 100% correct, it is the timing that stinks to high heaven to me.

   Just as Alberto VO5 Gonzalez and all his blow-dried buddies at Department of Justice are getting ready to be subpoenaed to testify in the Senate we are told this fantastical story.

   I wonder how long (assuming it is true) it has ben kept in the can ready to be sprung on the public to distract them from the sleaze de jour. How many other such “surprises” are waiting to be revealed?

   Here we go again. How dumb do they think we are? Bet he confessed days after torture began. I know I would, anything to get it to stop. But they had to make it look good so they waited until political expediency was advanced. But it does not appear to have worked. The only people who believe this crap are the ditto heads and the fox gang. Since most people do not believe that 9/11 report was anything but sham to cover up a staged event they need to negate all the critics. That will not work either.

    Why KSM’s Confession Rings False

    It’s hard to tell what the Pentagon’s objective really is in releasing the transcript of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s confession. It certainly suggests the Administration is trying to blame KSM for al-Qaeda terrorism, leading us to believe we’ve caught the master terrorist and that al-Qaeda, and especially the ever-elusive bin Laden, is no longer a threat to the U.S.

    But there is a major flaw in that marketing strategy. On the face of it, KSM, as he is known inside the government, comes across as boasting, at times mentally unstable. It’s also clear he is making things up.

    KSM claims he was “responsible for the 9/11 operation from A-Z.” Yet he has omitted details that would support his role.

    Until we hear more, the mystery of who KSM is and what he was responsible for is still a mystery.

    Uh, the seventh confession this bozo makes is the following (please note the reference to the Plaza Bank):

    7. I was responsible for planning, training, surveying and financing the New (or Second) Wave attacks against the following skyscrapers after 9/11:
    a. Library Tower, California.
    b. Sears Tower, Chicago.
    c. Plaza Bank, Washington state.
    d. The Empire State Building, New York City. ]

    The PROBLEM is that the Plaza Bank was FOUNDED in 2006 and KSM has been in custody since 2003 — figure that one!
