   action is appointed…which action? The death toll in this opinion piece is way low..at least according to john hopkins…tho I don’t think
   any number will enliven the dead ass self interested citizenry here….how long did it take the protesters to make any real waves back when i was drafted?

   I thought the young were disinterested in the war, then one of them said to me, but we are the ones fighting it.

   the death toll is very low in this article - at elast according to the lancet - which last june (2006) put iraqi deaths at 655,000

   I can think of no political leaders with standing and power today who can be trusted to do the right thing.
   We are in such dire straits, far worse than in the 60s and 70s. This executive, combined with a complicit mass media and a lockstep party stranglehold on congress only just broken in the last election, has amassed such power that I can think of nothing short of revolution to even begin to reverse this mess.

   “If we leave Iraq right now, as it is now, are things better or worse?”

   It will be worse whether we leave now or later. The only differnce being the number of lives lost by us and the Iraqis, and the amount of treasure spent. Bush and the Neocons refuse to do the only thing that could minimize the violence after we leave, still clinging to the idea that they can win militarily. They are like a desperate gambler that is quickly losing everything but yet refuses to get up and leave the table.

   “We went in by error and may have to leave in disgrace.”

   Please! Please! Please! Quit excusing Bush and his neocons. Manipulating intelligence evidence to produce a desired result is not an error. It is creating a lie to get what you want. I think if I read the word “error” in conjunction with what was done to get us into Iraq one more time I am going to p*ke on my keyboard and monitor.

   As disgusting beyond description both King Codpiece and Snarly and their actions are, it is but a consequence of the imperial path we began to trod in the 1890’s and then got motorized wheels during the Cold War

   We should have never gone in!
   That for me makes it easy to answer the question writher or not we should stay.
   In a recent poll of Iraqi citizens the large majority when asked that question, answered that the U.S. presents there is making the situation worse.They want us out of their country.
   So, knowing that, who exactly are we staying for?
   I think we all know the answer.
