   While many arguments may be made regarding similarities between our presence in Vietnam and Iraq, the one glaring difference is conscription. Sadly, I wonder the number of volunteers who joined based on the lies about WMD and 9/11?

   Had a draft been in place, a very large and vocal, and very angry group including many from the misled military would be at the forefront of these protests, as would those who fear for their children reaching draftable age. I am of the firm belief this war would not be active today if a draft hung over the heads of our young people.

   The draft is just around the corner folks.
   The Imperial President has run out of troops to project his might. When you see the bombing of Teheran , the next day will see a National Emergency declared and draft imposed.And Congress will be ignored for the duration.
   That is how Empires come about.
   Though War and it’s needs.Force majeure.

   Amid the lies and myths associated with the Iraq war, none is more destructive to the anti-war movement than the “support the troops” ruse. Instead of falling down before this manipulative, cleverly devised piece of propaganda, the anti-war movement should have thrown the Nuremberg Principles into the faces of the warmongerers. Instead of attaching “but I support the troops” to every anti-war statement, we should decry every soldier’s acquiescence to this illegal and immoral war. Soldiers, like the criminals in the Bush administration and the Republicans and Democrats in Congress, must all be held accountable for starting, pursuing, and enabling this war crime.

   Alot of people are still very confused by the war and the way we got into it, despite the wealth of information that explains things very clearly.
   There’s a story in the Arizona Republic today about an ex-NFL player who was Pat Tillmans’ roommate in college enlisting in the Marines.
   His name is Jeremy Staat and he claims he was inspired to join by Tillmans’ death. How insane is that?
   Sadly, I believe that the only thing that will cause the silent majority of Americans to rise up against this war would be a catastrophic attack on our troops, resulting in huge casualties.
